I have chosen to use this close up image of my model to be on the front cover of my magazine because it is very similar to other high end magazine brands like Elle and vogue as it attracts a larger audience. as you can see with my image ideas that I have chosen most of them are a close up or mid shot brining more attention to the model in the image.
I have then chosen these long shot images for the double page spread as it is a fashion magazine and it would appeal to the audience more if they could see the outfit on a model to get a better idea of what the outfit looks like.

The selection process of images:
firstly I printed off a contact sheet Of all my images that I had taken and also had the images up on my computer screen.
step 1. I deleted and crossed off the images That I either did not like or were too blurry to be used.
step 2. I selected the images I thought would appeal to my target audience more to be kept. For example images that show off the outfits more.
step 3. Next I sorted the images into groups of close ups, long shots and mid shots images and again selected those that I preferred and that look more like the they would be in a high end magazine. This then cut down all my images to around 10 images.
step 4. As the images we’re all different sizes and angles I created my template for my front cover and double page spread to see which images fitted in the best without me having to change and re arrange the layout as the layout I had chosen was similar to most popular magazines brands.
step 5: lastly I was left with my final front cover image and 7 images for my double page spreads.
