The font for this glamour magazine is different from other magazines. The glamour magazine uses a more thicker and bold font however others use a more elegant and thin styled font to connote with the elegance of the magazine and that it produces high end fashion. This makes their style of their masthead unique and stand out as when the audience see the magazine they will know that the brand of the magazine is glamour. They have used a white colour for their title on this magazine cover so it stands out from the red colours and to their audience to catch peoples eye.
The usual vogue font is serif (with flicks) which shows the elegance of the brand. It is a large, tall, white stretched out font with the colour of the masthead being white against a blue background bringing it to stand out. Inside the letter ‘o’ of the masthead states to the audience that it is a Indian magazine. The vogue masthead I widely stretched out across the magazine cover and placed at the top of the cover showing its significance.
The font used in the Bazaar magazine is similar to the vogue design that being a serif, tall and large font which has connotations with luxury. The masthead is overlapping the image of the model which the audience can then clearly see who the brand is. I am aiming to create a magazine like this Bazaar magazine that having a very serious front cover close up image of a woman with a large bold and noticeable slogan as this professional typical magazine look will attract my target audience which is 16-30 year old women and how my audience my clear genre which is fashion.
In this vogue magazine cover they use two different fonts. For ‘teen’ masthead they use a bubble, bold and child like font connoting with teens. For the ‘vogue’ masthead they use the usual elegant font that being tall and serif. The teen typography is a light purple shade and the vogue is a pink shade which is stereotypically girls colours. Above the vogue typing they have stated that is the march collection magazine.
This Marie Claire masthead is a large bubble font similar to the glamour masthead font. The model stands in front of the masthead as the audience will know who the brand is already as it is a very popular make. The colour of the font is a pink shade with the month of when the magazine came out above the letters ‘re’.
