Style equals success?
What got you interested in styling?
I myself am a shopaholic! I love shopping… all i want to do is shop and but together new outfits which then created my interest in styling. As a child I would always want to choose my own outfit and try new things. From a young age I always knew I wanted to be some sort of fashion artist. So I studied it in college and it was so my hobby. The amazing idea of completely changing how someone can look and feel through styling was really joyful to me.Then I thought what would it be like if i could create and design my own outfits so I started a small blog and drew some of my own outfit ideas. I came out with hundreds of ideas and it never stopped…
Tell us about how your fashion blog began?
My fashion blog began whilst I was at college. I loved the subject so much that I thought maybe I could make a business out of it. And that’s exactly what happened. Several fashion designers reached out to me and offered me to create some outfit designs for them. I inspired so many young women with my stylish outfits my business grew and I went from an outfit on paper to it actually being designed in real life! When i had enough stock of each outfit that I created, I decided to sell them online to customers as it was highly requested.
How do you create your styles?
I create my styles by firstly identifying the latest fashion trends in the women’s fashion industry and keep up to date with it.
How did you start your fashion business?
I started my fashion business through my blog that I made whilst at school.

How did you start your fashion business?
I started my fashion business through my blog that I made whilst at school. My blog became very popular and was very inspiring to young women interested in fashion which created my interest in turning it into a day to day business. I started by firstly creating mood boards before I actually created my business. I researched on what colour schemes, typography designs and a name for my business. After that, I designed the layout of the website, created a logo, drop down menus i could include, social media links and a subscription link where my audience can join in on my journey and keeping up to date with my latest styles.
How do you create your styles?
I create my styles by firstly identifying the latest fashion trends in the women’s fashion industry and keep up to date with it. I then get audience feedback on what they would like to see next and create it so it appeals to them more. I chose the type of fabric I will use to be the base of the product. Next Like creating my website i use mood boards to come up with some ideas as it makes the process more organized. I decide colour connotations, what piece of clothing eg top or trousers, the price of the item and if i am going to add any details like buttons, patterns or sequions which my ideas are all drawn out. If the outfit is the type of outfit to go out in i would match it with an accessoires like a headband. When i have hand made them then the process is complete and I have made the outfit.
In order for my article to be the best it an be, i gained feedback from peers on what i could do to improve my first draft article for my magazine. i extended the section on what i started my fashion business, giving people some steps and tips on how to start one themselves if they wish to and sharing my journey on how created one myself.
